Wigan car theory test centre

The Wigan Driving Theory Test Centre is located at the Wigan Council Offices in Wigan town centre. It offers a range of courses including the Theory Test, Motorway Patrol and Advanced Driver Training (ADT).

If you're coming by car, the best place to park is in the multi-storey car park on Market Street. There are also a number of pay and display car parks within walking distance of the test centre.

When you arrive at the test centre, you'll need to check in at reception. You'll need to bring your provisional driving licence and appointment confirmation letter with you.

The test itself consists of two parts - a multiple choice theory test and a hazard perception test. Both parts must be completed on the same day.

The multiple choice theory test is made up of 50 questions, and you'll need to answer 43 of them correctly to pass. The questions cover a range of topics, such as road signs, driving laws and vehicle safety.

You'll have 57 minutes to complete the theory test.

The hazard perception test is made up of 14 video clips. Each clip contains one or more hazards. You need to identify the hazards as they develop and click the mouse button when you see them.

You need to score 44 out of 75 to pass the hazard perception test.

You'll have 20 minutes to complete the hazard perception test.
